This weekend is a busy one for Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko and his staff, as a litany of 2025 and 2026 prospects have made their way to College Station for unofficial and official visits.
Standing out the most, 2025 5-star safety Trey McNutt visited on Thursday, just days after pushing his commitment Date to early next month while representing the 2026 cycle, 4-star wide receiver Dequane Prevo has arrived on the campus for his second visit within the last two months.
Over a week ago, Prevo revealed that he will announce his commitment on Tuesday, July 30. He will choose between Penn State, USC, Arkansas, Baylor, and Texas A&M, and according to several recruiting analysts, the Aggies remain in the lead.
One of the top playmakers in the cycle, Prevo has been on A&M’s radar for quite some time, going back to former head coach Jimbo Fisher’s offer to him during the 2022 season. With two commitments in the 2026 class, Prevo would become the highest-ranked of all three if he chooses the Aggies in four days.
According to 247Sports, Prevo, who is 5’10” and 160 pounds, is currently the 16th-ranked athlete and the 32nd-ranked prospect in Texas.
