Team USA basketball’s schedule for the 2024 Summer Olympics

A look at when Lakers fans can watch LeBron James and Anthony Davis go for the gold with Team USA in the Summer Olympics in Paris.

The opening ceremony for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris is just hours away. That means that soon Los Angeles Lakers fans will get to see some summertime hoops involving LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

James and Davis played very well during Team USA’s five exhibition games, all of which it won. Although the squad looked vulnerable at times, especially in its last two contests, James ensured victory with 25 points and the game-winning basket against South Sudan on Saturday. He then followed that up with 20 points, including the United States’ last 11 points versus Germany.

Beginning on Sunday, the games will start to officially count for Team USA. That is when it begins group play against Nikola Jokić and Serbia. On Thursday, Aug. 1, it will take on South Sudan again before playing Puerto Rico two days later.

Afterward, the quarterfinal matchups will take place on Aug. 6, with the semi-final round taking place two days later. The games that will decide the gold and bronze medal winners will be played on Aug. 10.
