Commanders WR Terry McLaurin named one of the NFL’s top 100 players

McLaurin is one of the top NFL’s top 100 players again.

By his standards, Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin had a down season in 2023. Yes, McLaurin went over 1,000 yards receiving for the fourth consecutive season, but it took a wide receiver screen late in the game for McLaurin to get him over the mark.

Still, despite all the chaos around him, 11 different quarterbacks in five seasons, McLaurin is in rare company.

The NFL Network recently revealed its top 100 players for 2024, and McLaurin made the list again. McLaurin was ranked No. 97 — down four spots from last year.

McLaurin has played with 10 different starting QBs since entering the league in 2019, but he still finds ways to produce. Case in point, McLaurin can become the first player to post five straight seasons of 1,000-plus receiving yards with each coming with a different primary starting QB. Heading into training camp, Around The NFL’s Kevin Patra ranked McLaurin’s connection with rookie QB Jayden Daniels as the fifth-best rookie-to-veteran duo.

The NFL got it wrong—it’s 11 quarterbacks. When their first connection happens, Jayden Daniels will be the 12th quarterback McLaurin has caught a pass from since entering the NFL. The Commanders hope that number stays at 12 for a long time.

McLaurin and everyone on Washington’s roster deserve a pass for last season. McLaurin is hungry to put 2023 behind him.
