The Green Bay Packers might have a white alternate helmet added during the 2024 season. Back in April, Paul Lukas of Uni Watch reported the Packers would be adding a white helmet this season. On Tuesday, detective work from Justis Mosqueda of Acme Packing Co. discovered a white helmet in the gameplay preview of “Madden NFL 25.”
Adding the new white helmet to the Packers’ all-white “Color Rush” uniforms could give the team a fresh new look. Other teams, such as the Minnesota Vikings, have debuted all-white uniforms in recent years, and several teams have added new alternate helmets.
But could the Packers — a team so grounded in history and tradition — pull off a new white helmet?
To help answer the question, we had Coley Cleary, the NFL Wire’s graphic designer, produce a preview of the all-white look.
Here it is:
Based on the “Madden” screenshot, it’s possible the helmet could lack the middle gold stripe, leaving it only white and green.
The Packers do have some history with white. In the late 1950s, the team wore simple green and white uniforms with white helmets. Adding the white alternate helmet in 2024 could serve as a “throwback” option, or at least a helmet based on the team’s history.
