[autotag]Chase Elliott[/autotag] finished 10th in the 2024 Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, but it was an up-and-down day. Elliott was in the top 3 spots in Stage 1 and committed a blend line violation. The driver of the No. 9 car was black-flagged and forced to have a drive-through on pit road. Elliott was less than pleased and blew up on the radio to his No. 9 team.
Elliott didn’t think he committed a penalty, but NASCAR didn’t give in to the No. 9 team. The 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion laid into the sport, saying he did exactly what the sheet stated. It was one of Elliott’s most fiery radio communications in recent years, as the Brickyard 400 featured little passing and a need for track position.

Elliott left the 2024 Brickyard 400, sitting second in the standings, only 10 points behind Kyle Larson. Yet, Elliott was furious that he only finished in 10th place, as the No. 9 car had much higher potential.
