Class of 2026 tight end Evan Jacobson announced Monday that after speaking with Colorado football TE coach Brett Bartolone, he picked up an offer from the Buffs.
A four-star prospect according to 247Sports, Jacobson hails from Iowa and is headed into his junior season at Waukee High School. The 6-foot-7, 220-pound Colorado recruit caught six passes for 91 yards and two touchdowns as a sophomore.
In the 2026 class, 247Sports ranks Jacobson as the No. 7 TE nationally and the No. 2 prospect in his home state of Iowa.
Other notable Power Four teams that have offered Jacobson include the Penn State Nittany Lions, Auburn Tigers, Florida State Seminoles, Ohio State Buckeyes and LSU Tigers.
Jacobson’s older brother, Michael, played college basketball for the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Iowa State Cyclones before transitioning to the NFL. The elder Jacobson is currently a New Orleans Saints practice squad tight end.
