[autotag]Hailie Deegan[/autotag] is currently without a ride in NASCAR after she and AM Racing decided to part ways after 17 Xfinity Series events. Despite signing a multi-year contract, Deegan is no longer racing in NASCAR and is looking to find something during the Olympic break. However, could the 23-year-old driver sign a deal with a new NASCAR team in the Xfinity Series?
According to Haas Factory Team president Joe Custer through NBC Sports, the NASCAR team wants to help unlock Deegan as an Xfinity Series driver but will reserve that idea for future conversations. The Haas Factory Team is led by Custer and Gene Haas, who come from Stewart-Haas Racing. The organization plans to shut down after the 2024 NASCAR season.
Deegan joining Haas Factory Team would be a massive step in her career. It’s unclear how the NASCAR organization would compare to Stewart-Haas Racing. Yet, the former AM Racing driver’s future with Ford may not be over. Deegan is looking for the best opportunity to expand on her racing career, and Haas Factory Team’s Xfinity Series program could be the best fit.
