On Friday, former Alabama Crimson Tide safety Eddie Jackson agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens.

Jackson spent the first seven years of his NFL career with the Chicago Bears. In 2018, Jackson was named a First-Team All-Pro. Additionally, he was named to the Pro Bowl in 2018 and 2019.

The Florida native had a strong start to his NFL career. During his first three years with the Bears, Jackson recorded 184 tackles and 10 interceptions. Following his third season in the league, Jackson has played in just one whole season. That came in 2020. Since then, Jackson has missed eight games.

Jackson will provide depth and veteran leadership to a Ravens squad that is pushing to make a deep playoff run in the AFC. If he can stay healthy, he will form one of the more impressive safety duos alongside former first-round pick Kyle Hamilton. Jackson’s potential is still there. He just needs to be at full health to contribute in the most positive way possible.
