Bill Algeo vs. Dooho Choi UFC on ESPN 60 preview

Algeo (18-8 MMA, 5-4 UFC) has a pattern of losing one and winning two over his past six fights. He enters his second fight of 2024 following a first-round TKO loss to Kyle Nelson. Before that, he won a unanimous decision win vs. Alexander Hernandez and submitted TJ Brown. … Choi (14-4-1 MMA, 3-3-1 UFC) will be hunting for his first win since December 2016. “The Korean Superboy” has failed to record a victory in four consecutive fights, losing three, and drawing with Nelson in his last appearance in February 2023. Prior to this rough stretch, Choi was virtually untouchable as a winner of 12 straight fights.

Bill Algeo vs. Dooho Choi UFC on ESPN 60 expert pick, prediction

Algeo is coming off an unfortunate stoppage that was arguably a tad bit early, but “Senior Perfecto” is always one to put on a show regardless of whether or not he wins or loses.

The same can be said for Choi, though it’s ultimately hard to know what to make of “The Korean Superboy” considering the inconsistency that’s plagued his career for the last eight or so years.

Although part of me would love to see Choi finally get back on track, I suspect that this fight could get ugly for him if he’s not able to put Algeo away early.

I’ll officially side with Algeo to survive the early storm and find a finish in Round 2.
