Watch: Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman throws the first pitch in Yankee Stadium

Just a bit outside

We all knew this was coming, Notre Dame football head coach [autotag]Marcus Freeman[/autotag] has thrown out another first pitch at a Major League Baseball game.

This time it came in New York, as the Yankees invited the Irish leader along with multiple players out for the event. Although this is the new version of their historic stadium, it still has that baseball feel.

Unfortunately for Freeman, the atmosphere didn’t quite translate into a strike, as the throw went a bit high and to the left. The main reason why he was invited was to create some hype around the Shamrock Series game against Navy that will be played in that same venue.

The Irish have played in Yankee Stadium before, as they faced off against Rutgers in the 2013 Pinstripe Bowl. Notre Dame’s return to the baseball diamond will happen on November 23rd.
