Browns guard Wyatt Teller believes Deshaun Watson can be special again

The Pro Bowler still believes in Watson

The start to Deshaun Watson and his time with the Cleveland Browns hasn’t been what the team envisioned when they traded multiple premium picks for the quarterback. His first season was only six games after serving an 11-game suspension extension. He then only played six games last year due to injury.

While appearing on the Go Long TD show, Pro Bowl guard Wyatt Teller talked about how he truly believes Watson can still be special on the field.

“I’ll tell you this right now. I’ve seen glimpses, I’ve seen flashes of absolute greatness. Patty Mahomes is a once-in-a-lifetime guy. I mean, he’s insane. … I believe that Deshaun has that. I truly do.”

Cleveland has lofty expectations this year after winning 11 games in 2023, and they need Watson to be a franchise quarterback to reach them. Teller is correct, there have been glimpses but it’s time for Watson to show those aren’t just a mirage.
