After not playing in the first game of the NBA Summer League, former Washington Huskies forward Moses Wood got his shot with the Atlanta Hawks. He has played in the team’s last two games and averaged 21.5 minutes, 5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1 assist per game.
Those numbers are somewhat skewed because Wood’s second game against the Los Angeles Lakers saw him turn in an admirable performance. The stellar shooter played 27 minutes and shot 4 for 10 from the field and 2 for 6 from three-point range for a total of 10 points to go with 4 rebounds, an assist, and a highlight reel block.

However, that wasn’t enough to lift the Hawks past Bronny James and the Los Angeles Lakers, who had 12 points as his team escaped with an 87-86 victory.
Elsewhere in the Summer League, Wood’s former teammate, Keion Brooks Jr. has struggled along with the rest of the New Orleans Pelicans. His team is 0-3 while last year’s top scorer on Montlake is averaging just 3 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1 assist per game.
