LSU lands commitment from 2025 Top 10 overall prospect

One of the nation’s top prospects is headed to Baton Rouge.

A class that already holds a commitment from the nation’s No. 1 prospect, the LSU Tigers have now landed their third five-star of the 2025 recruiting cycle, as DJ Pickett committed to the program Wednesday over Miami and Oregon.

A five-star prospect, Pickett is one of the top athletes in the 2025 class where he ranks as the No. 6 overall player nationally in the cycle according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Pickett is also the No. 2 cornerback in the nation, as well as the No. 1 player in the state of Florida where he attends Zephyrhills High School.

Listed at 6-foot-4, Pickett is an elite two-way athlete who amassed 1,033 and 15 touchdowns offensively as a junior last season. Defensively, Pickett had 31 tackles and an interception playing in the secondary.

With the commitment of Pickett, the Tigers 2025 recruiting class now sits at No. 4 in the country, as well as third in the SEC behind only Alabama and Georgia.
