Clemson softball has officially announced its roster additions for the 2024-25 season, featuring several notable transfers. The new class is highlighted by right-handed pitcher Brook Melnychuk from Louisiana Tech. Melnychuk brings an impressive resume, including being named the ICCAC Pitcher of the Year in 2021 and earning Second Team NJCAA All-American honors the same year.
In 2024, Melnychuk posted a 2.77 ERA with 13 wins over 36 appearances and 20 starts. She struck out 67 batters in 124 innings and had a remarkable start to the season, not allowing an earned run in her first 11.2 innings. She finished the season strong, throwing complete games in her final three starts and earning CUSA Pitcher of the Week honors twice.
Joining Melnychuk are Reese Basinger, a right-handed pitcher from Winthrop, and Jamison Brockenbrough, an outfielder from Tennessee. These additions are expected to significantly enhance Clemson’s lineup and pitching depth for the upcoming season.
