Alabama adds two 5-star commitments to 2025 class

The Tide continues to roll on the recruiting trail.

Having already owned one of the nation’s top classes, the Alabama Crimson Tide continued their recent recruiting momentum this past weekend, as the program secured a pair of commitments from two five-star prospects, Caleb Cunningham and Ty Haywood.

Cunningham, who committed to Alabama on Saturday, is considered as the nation’s No. 13 overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, as well as the No. 2 wide receiver in the country. The five-star is also considered as the top player in the state of Mississippi where he attends Choctaw County High School.

Haywood, who announced his commitment to the Crimson Tide on Sunday, is also a five-star prospect, as well as the No. 11 overall player nationally. The five-star is also the No. 2 offensive tackle in the country, as well as the No. 4 player in the state of Texas where he attends Ryan High School.

With the commitments of Cunningham and Haywood, which are now the two highest-rated of Alabama’s class, the Crimson Tide now hold a total of five five-star prospects for the 2025 cycle alongside Keelon Russell, Dijon Lee, and Darrell Johnson. That number of five is the most of any program across the country.

Alabama’s 2025 class still sits at No. 2 nationally according to the 247Sports Team Rankings as a result of this weekend, but the Crimson Tide are right behind No. 1 Ohio State. Will they catch the Buckeyes?
