Titans’ Will Levis named team’s biggest potential bust by NFL analyst

An NFL analyst recently named Titans quarterback Will Levis as the team’s biggest potential bust for 2024.

Quarterback Will Levis definitely showed promise in terms of being the Tennessee Titans’ long-term solution at the position during his rookie season, but he’s still got to cement himself in 2024.

We saw plenty of flashes from Levis in 2023, but we also saw the mistakes you’d expect from a first-year quarterback.

However, it was tough to gauge exactly how much of that was on Levis considering the lackluster supporting cast he had to work with at wide receiver and along the offensive line.

In a recent article naming the biggest potential bust for every team in the NFL, Bleacher Report’s David Kenyon listed Levis for the Titans.

I greatly respect the team’s effort to put a better supporting cast around Will Levis, who’s approaching his first year as the full-time starter. I’m simply not sold on him. Inefficiency and general inconsistency plagued Levis both in college and during his debut season with the Titans, and bringing in Ridley and Tyler Boyd—while admirable—doesn’t solve Levis’ week-to-week differences.

General manager Ran Carthon did his best to improve things around Levis, as the team signed wide receivers Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd, and center Lloyd Cushenberry, and they drafted JC Latham to take over the left tackle spot, which was a major issue the past two seasons.

While we don’t know exactly how things will pan out with Levis, we do know he’s in a much better position to succeed than he was in 2023.

If he can take that next step, the Titans should, at the very least, compete for a playoff spot. If Levis doesn’t, it might be back to the drawing board for Tennessee in 2025.
