Rose Namajunas is now 2-1 since changing divisions after UFC on ESPN 59 and hasn’t been shy that she wants a shot at gold sooner than later.

Namajunas (13-6 MMA, 11-5 UFC) proved she’s absolutely in the upper tier of the women’s flyweight division with a clear-cut unanimous decision win over Cortez (11-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC) at Ball Arena in Denver, and “Thug” Rose now is 2-1 since she moved up to her new division from strawweight, where she was a UFC champion twice over.

The 125-pound division is a bit stuck in the mud as the title picture gets sorted, however, meaning Namajunas likely has to sit idle until something logical materializes.
