No Steelers IOL make the cut in ESPN rankings

The Steelers didn’t get a guard or center on ESPN’s rankings.

ESPN asked NFL executives, coaches and scouts to rank their Top 10 interior offensive linemen in the league. To no one’s surprise, none of the Pittsburgh Steelers guards or centers made the list. In fact, none of them even got an honorable mention.

The best the Steelers could garner was guard Isaac Seumalo being included among those interior offensive linemen who also received votes. Here’s how ESPN’s Top 10 broke down:

1 – Zach Martin, Dallas Cowboys

2 – Chris Lindstrom, Atlanta Falcons

3 – Quenton Nelson, Indianapolis Colts

4 – Joe Thuney, Kansas City Chiefs

5 – Joel Bitonio, Cleveland Browns

6 – Landon Dickerson, Philadelphia Eagles

7 – Creed Humphrey, Kansas City Chiefs

8 – Frank Raganow, Detroit Lions

9 – Trey Smith, Kansas City Chiefs

10 – Elgton Jenkins, Green Bay Packers

It isn’t hard to make a case for Seumalo to be in the Top 10. In 2023, he played 1,038 snaps, allowed zero sacks and only committed one penalty. Zack Martin, No. 1 on the list played 908 snaps, allowed four sacks and committed three penalties according to Pro Football Focus. Seumalo was the Steelers best offensive lineman in 2023 and clutch down the stretch in the run game.
