Felipe Fraga set the fastest time in Practice 2 for tomorrow’s IMSA Chevrolet Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park.

Driving the No. 74 Riley ORECA LMP2 07, Fraga set the top time at 1m08.221s early in the 90-minute session. He was just over a tenth ahead of the No. 8 Tower Motorsport ORECA driven by Renger van der Zande in second.

Rounding out the top five in LMP2 were Colin Braun in the No. 04 CrowdStrike Racing by APR car, Ben Hanley in the No. 2 United Autosports USA machine, and then the No. 99 AO Racing car of Louis Deletraz.

With qualifying upcoming, AO Racing’s PJ Hyett was the fastest Bronze driver in LMP2, setting a 1m09.384.

In GTD Pro, Jack Hawksworth in the No. 14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3 set a new unofficial course record as he led the class with a 1m14.821s. That surpasses Hawksworth’s benchmark from last year’s qualifying session in the same car.

Madison Snow also went under the 2023 course record with a 1m14.952s in the No. 1 Paul Miller Racing BMW M4 GT3, good enough for second in class.

The two Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports cars were third and fourth, with the No. 4 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R of Tommy Milner leading the No. 3 of Alexander Sims; Seb Priaulx was fifth-fastest in the No. 77 AO Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R.

There was little to separate the top three in GTD — just 0.036s at the end covered Loris Spinelli in the No. 78 Forte Racing Lamborghini Huracán GT3, Parker Thompson in the No. 12 Vasser Sullivan Lexus, and Mikaël Grenier in the No. 32 Korthoff/Preston Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3.

Qualifying begins at 4:00pm ET.
