Notre Dame football has again gone to the transfer portal to find a quarterback as in 2024 it will be former Duke signal caller Riley Leonard barking out calls for the Fighting Irish.
Leonard helped lead Duke to a shocking early-season upset of Clemson in 2023 and had the Blue Devils in the top 25 before he suffered an injury against Notre Dame (of all teams) and wasn’t the same the last two months.
What does Notre Dame have in Leonard?
Leonard threw for 20 touchdowns to just six interceptions in 2022, a healthier season for him. He also completed over 63% of his passes that fall.
If Notre Dame gets that player with what should be a more talented offense around him, then the Irish could take major steps offensively in 2024.
