Paul Reed posts goodbye to Sixers fans as he moves on to join Pistons

Paul Reed posts his goodbye to the Philadelphia 76ers and the fans as he moves on to the Detroit Pistons.

Paul Reed spent his first four seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers after being selected with the No. 58 pick in the 2020 draft. He grew into a fan favorite in the City of Brotherly Love due to his constant energy and ability to wow fans at times.

Unfortunately for Reed, the Sixers decided to go in another direction. Philadelphia brought in Andre Drummond in free agency and selected Adem Bona in the draft. Therefore, there were no minutes left for Reed and the Sixers waived him.

The Detroit Pistons claimed him off waivers as Reed will now head to the Motor City. He took to Instagram to say goodbye to the fans and the city of Philadelphia.

The Pistons will offer Reed more minutes and give him an opportunity to grow his game much more. When considering that Detroit is still in rebuild mode, this will give the big man more minutes to make mistakes and develop behind Jalen Duren.
