It’s no secret that Tobias Harris had a bit of a rocky tenure as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers. The numbers were solid. In his 5.5 seasons with the Sixers, he averaged 17.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.1 assists while shooting 36.9% from deep and having his role change constantly.
There were plenty of times when the Sixers would ask him to do different things year in and year out. He would not pout or complain or anything of the sort. He would always go out there and do his job, but the fan base was particularly tough on him mostly due to the amount of money he was making.
With Harris now off to the Detroit Pistons in free agency, he posted a heartfelt goodbye to Sixers fans and the city of Philadelphia on his Instagram. He thanked the fans for their unwavering support and wished the city the best as he moves on back to the Motor City.

Harris will always be a solid player in Sixers lore. He always produced at a consistent level. He was just caught up under the pressure of his contract which comes with scrutiny in Philadelphia.
