While appearing on ESPN on Wednesday, Chicago Sky star rookie Angel Reese painted a very exciting picture for basketball fans about the 2028 Summer Olympics.
While talking about playing with fellow rookie sensation Caitlin Clark in next week’s WNBA All-Star Game, Reese mentioned that she hopes both of them are playing for the United States women’s national team once the summer games head to Los Angeles in four years.
“It’s going to be really cool [to play with Clark in the WNBA All-Star Game]. I mean, I know so many fans are going to come out to watch both of us … We’re going to be playing together for a while,” Reese said in the interview. “Hopefully, 2028, we’ll be Olympians together, too.”

That is such a fun thought to have, as Reese and Clark have firmly established themselves as the faces of the next generation of WNBA stars.
As they contend for WNBA 2024 Rookie of the Year on separate teams, getting the chance to watch them play together on Team WNBA next week in Phoenix on July 20 is going to be a blast.
As Reese alluded, it won’t be the last time we get to see these two in action together, either. Perhaps the 2028 Summer Olympics will be on the horizon, too.
