The 2023-24 Southeastern Conference First-Year Academic Honor Roll was announced on Wednesday by league commissioner Greg Sankey, which included 121 Florida Gators student-athletes.
With the announcement, the Orange and Blue set its school record for the total of student-athletes named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll in a single season at 433. The school placed 312 students on SEC Academic Honor Rolls (137 fall; 64 winter, 111 spring) along with the 121 on the First-Year Honor Roll.
The record has been reset twice since 2020-21 (378 in 2020-21 and 2021-22; 410 for 2022-23 academic year), and things just keep getting better in Gainesville with each passing season. There were 15 Gators who earned both SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll status and 2024 All-America accolades.
