The University of Nebraska has formed an official partnership with a Name, Image, and Likeness Collective. 1890 Nebraska is now the official NIL collective of Nebraska Athletics.
The partnership is designed to streamline the process for fans to support Husker sports. Athletic Director Troy Dannen believes that this deal is another example of Nebraska being an innovator in college sports.
“Nebraska has always been an innovator in collegiate athletics, whether it is in strength and conditioning, nutrition, and athletics performance facilities, and NIL is the latest frontier. This partnership with 1890 Nebraska will make it convenient for fans and donors to directly support NIL for our student-athletes and provide 1890 donors many of the same benefits and privileges that our Huskers Athletic Fund members receive for their support of Nebraska Athletics.”
Per the Nebraska website, NIL collectives work with program supporters to raise money and provide opportunities to student-athletes.
