The Kentucky football season is D’Eryk Jackson (54) days away

Senior D’Eryk Jackson is part of an experienced inside linebacker duo for Kentucky football.

It looks like Kentucky will feature a solid pair of inside linebackers for the 2024 season, even with the loss of Trevin Wallace to the NFL draft. One of those is Senior D’Eryk Jackson, who brings plenty of experience on the Wildcats defense.

Jackson was rated three stars by 247sports as a part of the 2020 recruiting class. He chose Kentucky over offers from Ole Miss, Purdue, and Mississippi State.

As a Freshman, Jackson got on the field and got his first interception. He was injured before his Sophomore season, but made it back to contribute later in the season. Last year, he started nine games, and recorded 67 tackles, 4 tackles for a loss, and 2 pass break-ups.

Jackson should be the full time starter in 2024, lining up alongside transfer Jamon Dumas-Johnson at inside linebacker. If both are healthy, it figures to be one of the SEC’s better linebacker duos.
