Jedd Fisch hints Washington’s recruiting hot streak isn’t over

The Washington Huskies could continue to add prospects to the 2025 recruiting class soon.

After the Washington Huskies secured a commitment from four-star wide receiver Chris Lawson on Sunday night, he added to an impressive first full recruiting class for coach Jedd Fisch.

Washington’s 2025 class is up to 21 commits and is ranked as the No. 17 class in the nation by 247Sports and could continue to rise soon. Following Lawson’s commitment, Fisch posted a gif of former Husky star cornerback Marcus Peters, suggesting that more recruits are still set to join his class in the coming weeks.

While Peters’ “I think we ain’t done yet” quote is a great encapsulation of Fisch’s mindset on the recruiting trail, as his coaching staff has shown to share his passion for recruiting, it could also suggest that the Huskies are looking to add more defensive backs to the class in the coming weeks.

Since three-star prospects Larue Zamorano and Rylon Dillard-Allen both have crystal ball projections to choose Washington, that might not be a necessarily bold take, but that may not be the end of secondary coaches John Richardson and Vinnie Sunseri’s efforts to add to the defensive backfield.

The Huskies are still pushing hard for four-star safety Ladarian Clardy and four-star athlete Dylan Robinson. Adding them over Florida State and Notre Dame respectively will prove to be a challenging task for Washington’s staff, but Fisch’s group has shown that it’s up for the challenge.
