[autotag]Lewis Hamilton[/autotag] has finally done it. With Hamilton leaving for Ferrari in 2025, several people thought he had won his last race with Mercedes; however, that changed on Sunday morning. The seven-time Formula 1 champion won the 2024 British Grand Prix at the Silverstone Circuit, marking his ninth Formula 1 win at the race track.
It is the first time a Formula 1 driver has won more than eight races at a single race track. Hamilton’s last win came in Saudi Arabia in 2021, making this victory even more emotional. Hamilton was able to overtake Lando Norris during the final pit stop after switching from intermediate to soft tires. Then, he was able to build a gap ahead of the hard-charging Max Verstappen.
