Oregon Duck fans probably don’t quite know how to feel right about now.
On the one hand, it was a great morning when EA Sports revealed their latest deep dive on the upcoming College Football 25 video game. It got even better when Kirk Herbstreit, who narrated the short video, broke down the upcoming College Football Playoff feature of the game and showed an example playoff bracket that had the Oregon Ducks beating the Ohio State Buckeyes in the national championship.
But then Duck fans realized what the score of that game was — Oregon 42, Ohio State 20 — and questions arose.
Is this just a massive trolling job from EA Sports?
For those who don’t remember, Ohio State beat Oregon in the 2014 National Championship Game by a score of 42-20, so seeing these numbers and this matchup once again conjures up some tough memories for Duck fans.

It also could act as quite possibly one of the biggest “Madden Curses” we’ve ever seen.

Is it a foreshadowing of what’s to come, or a forewarning for Oregon fans to not get too excited?
Impossible to say right now, but either way it will be interesting to watch play out.
