With the Philadelphia 76ers being successful in landing the big fish in free agency with the addition of Paul George, now is the time to take a look at the specifics of his contract.
The Sixers were able to bring him in on a 4-year $212 million deal, but what does that number look like when broken down per season?
ESPN’s Bobby Marks broke it down like this:
- 2024-25 $49.2 million
- 2025-26: $51.7 million
- 2026-27: $54.1 million
- 2027-28: $56.6 million
That’s a lot of money to commit to a 34-year-old who does have an injury history, but George is worth it. He is fresh off his ninth All-Star appearance and is still one of the more productive players in the league. This was the deal the Sixers were waiting to make.
Here is the breakdown of the Paul George contract in Philadelphia:
2024/25- $49.2M
2025/26- $51.7M
2026/27- $54.1M
2027/28- $56.6M

As the Sixers now move forward, they have to get the right pieces around George, Joel Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey. Philadelphia has a great chance to catch the Boston Celtics and come out of the Eastern Conference, but there is much more work to be done.
