The Baltimore Ravens suffered an agonizing defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game this past season. The 17-10 loss had the players, coaches, and fans reeling, especially after such a strong regular season that saw the team go 13-4 overall.
When asked about the game itself, Baltimore running backs coach Willie Taggart was honest in his answer, saying that the team was “ticked off”. However, he mentioned how the team is now locked into this season, and will do what they can to win a championship in the now.
“I think it was kind of like everybody else; we were ticked off. We were a game before the Super Bowl, and it didn’t happen for us, so like every other position, we were upset [and] disappointed. And I guess, after the game – after we got back – we kind of locked into this year, now, and seeing if we can do our part to help our football team win a championship.”
The Ravens have a major opportunity this season to be able to win, especially with still having so much star power on all three sides of the ball. Baltimore will still be widely regarded as a Super Bowl contender, and can right their wrong with a championship.
