LSU’s 2025 class is off to a very strong start, but it suffered a significant loss last week.
Four-star cornerback [autotag]Jaboree Antoine[/autotag], the top-ranked cornerback in the state of Louisiana, backed off his commitment to the Tigers. Since then, coach [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] and the staff have been scrambling a bit to beef up the corner class once more.
To do so, they recently offered [autotag]Aidan Anding[/autotag], a three-star cornerback who ranks No. 561 nationally but is the No. 3 cornerback in the state of Louisiana, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
Texas was trending heavily for Anding, having received multiple projections to land him this month from both 247Sports and On3. But the LSU offer on Friday seems to have changed things.

On3’s Billy Embody recently made a prediction in favor of LSU to land Anding. LSU will also hope to stay in the mix for the nation’s top cornerback DJ Pickett, who took an official visit to Baton Rouge earlier in the cycle.
LSU will hope it’s not getting in the game too late for Anding, who ranks as the No. 22 overall player in the state of Louisiana.
