Michigan State basketball started their 2023-24 season with an unceremonious loss to James Madison, a team that became one of the darlings of the college basketball season. This year, Tom Izzo has lined up an opponent that will, presumably, be a less formidable match-up.
The Spartans will start their 2024-25 season with a game against Niagara of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference on Nov. 7.
