Tennessee Titans NFL All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons and Rich Eisen discussed Simmons’ football origin story. The two men explored how Simmons goes from cool, calm and collected to a trash-talking maniac on game days. The former Mississippi State defensive tackle talked about how things are different under new head coach Brian Callahan after the departure of Mike Vrabel. Simmons reflected on watching Derrick Henry leave for the Baltimore Ravens. Simmons also says former USC Trojan Caleb Williams is the quarterback he is ready to sack and play the most.
The Titans face the Bears in Week 1 of the NFL season.
Bears Wire wrote this about Caleb Williams:
The Bears haven’t succeeded in developing quarterbacks in the past, but Poles has certainly approached things differently adding an arsenal of weapons, including DJ Moore, Keenan Allen and rookie Rome Odunze, along with shoring up the offensive line and building a potential top-10 defense.
While there’s no guarantee Williams will have the kind of success like Texans rookie C.J. Stroud last season, Chicago has certainly put him in a position to find early success as a rookie.
