The Alabama Crimson Tide continued to roll on the recruiting trail during Wednesday, as the program added yet another commitment to their 2025 class in linebacker Dawson Merritt.
Merritt is considered as a Top 100 overall prospect in the 2025 class, rated No. 92 nationally according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. A four-star, Merritt is also considered the No. 11 linebacker in the class, as well as the No. 3 player in the state of Kansas where he attends Blue Valley High School.
With the commitment of Merritt, Alabama’s 2025 class now sits at 19 total commitments, which ranks as the nation’s No. 2 class for the cycle behind only Ohio State for college football’s best. Merritt is also the fifth linebacker commitment for Alabama of the 2025 cycle, joining Darrell Johnson, Jaedon Harmon, Abduall Sanders Jr., and Luke Metz.
The four-star is also the ninth commitment for the Crimson Tide during the month of June, continuing what has been a memorable month for Alabama on the recruiting trail.
