The countdown to August 31 is down to just 67 days, putting Nebraska offensive lineman, No. 67 Joey Mancino today in the spotlight.
The redshirt junior out of Holmdel High School in New Jersey is entering his fourth season with the program. Through his first three seasons, Mancino has appeared in two games both coming last season including a start against Purdue.
Mancino was a walk-on for the Huskers as part of their 2021 recruiting class, choosing to be a Husker over walk-on offers from Florida Atlantic, Rutgers, Texas Tech, and Wake Forest. He also had a few FCS offers prior to choosing to walk-on.
This upcoming season, Mancino doesn’t project to see the field a whole lot. He’ll have the opportunity to play in “mop-up” situations.
