Angel Reese doesn’t care about making WNBA history. She’s just overjoyed the Chicago Sky snapped their losing streak.
As we mentioned earlier this week in our WNBA power rankings, the Chicago Sky are a work in progress. Their starting lineup continues to be a fluid situation (along with their less-than-desirable defense), and that doesn’t help when the team is losing. But the one thing that has remained constant in all the chaos is Angel Reese.
Reese etched her name into WNBA history books on Thursday with a mind-blowing 16 points and 18 REBOUNDS performance that earned her honors no other rookie in WNBA history has. However, when Reese was told about her amazing feat, she had the most hysterically blunt “I-do-not-care” response. This is what she shared:
“Man, I’m just happy we finally won.”
“And at home…it’s super exciting, obviously, for myself, and I try to give myself some grace and tell myself I’m doing a good job. But I have so much more to grow, and I’m just excited to be in this league and just excited to win some more.”
