Fox Sports has the rights to Euro 2024 which, oddly, doesn’t mean that viewers can actually watch every game on Fox Sports.
Of the tournament’s 51 matches, 46 will be broadcast on television. That leaves five group-stage matches unavailable on TV, with a subscription to Fubo or Univision’s streaming platform ViX required to watch those games.
That isn’t sitting well with plenty of fans, who have become accustomed to having every match of major international tournaments available on television. In the past, 90 percent of a tournament’s games on American TV would have been considered a win. But those days have come and gone.
Instead, viewers who wished to see the following games on Fox’s television networks were out of luck:
- June 15: Hungary vs. Switzerland
- June 17: Romania vs. Ukraine
- June 18: Turkey vs. Georgia
- June 21: Slovakia vs. Ukraine
- June 22: Georgia vs. Czech Republic
Those absences certainly ruffled a few feathers, especially when seeing what actually was on TV in place of those matches.
