Jaylen Brown lightened the mood after this injury to Derrick White.

Boston Celtics guard Derrick White suffered an unfortunate injury during Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

White collided with the floor while diving for a loose ball and came up bloody. As it turned out, he ended up chipping his tooth on the possession. Considering that this was a closeout game in a championship, though, he still stayed in the game.

To lighten the mood, his teammate Jaylen Brown decided to make fun of White for his temporary new look. Brown joked that White “sure is ugly” because of the injury.

Fortunately, this hilarious interaction was picked up on ESPN’s broadcast.

There is nothing quite like the brotherly love between two teammates, and Brown’s light-hearted comments surely made White feel a little better after hurting his face.
