Jedd Fisch’s coaching staff has made in-state recruiting a priority over the last month of his Washington tenure. The Huskies head coach has scheduled official visits with in-state prospects Jonathan Epperson and D’Aryhian Clemons, who will join the top recruit in the state, Zaydrius Rainey-Sale, on campus on June 21.
At Washington’s annual Top Dawg camp over the weekend, defensive line coach Jason Kaufusi also extended an offer to three-star prospect Victor Sanchez Hernandez, who plays at Kamiak High School in Mukilteo, Washington.
The state’s No. 16 player according to 247Sports holds 11 offers, including Boise State, Oregon State, and Utah. His most recent offer came from coach Kyle Whittingham and the Utes, who are one of the nation’s best at identifying underrealized defensive talent.
In 2023, he transferred from Lynnwood High School to play alongside the state’s No. 6 prospect, T’Andre Waverly and has become a late riser in the 2025 class. At 6-foot-5, 230-pounds, Sanchez Hernandez has the perfect frame for the position and plays with a high motor while displaying a promising combination of athleticism and projectability.
With a few other defensive linemen set to visit on June 21, Sanchez Hernandez is a name to keep an eye on as a late addition to the class.
