This time around, the tournament will take place in the United States, and will feature six guest teams from Concacaf in addition to 10 South American teams.

Guatemala enters this match on the back of wins over Dominica and British Virgin Islands in 2026 World Cup qualifying last week. Los Chapines have played Argentina three times in their history, drawing one and losing two.
