The Netherlands will arrive at Euro 2024 as one of the tournament favorites, but will have to overcome two late injury blows to achieve success in Germany.

Frenkie de Jong and Teun Koopmeiners were both expected to play major roles for the Oranje this summer, but the pair was ruled out after initially making the Euro 2024 squad.

Ian Maatsen and Joshua Zirkzee were called up in their place, with the pair’s initial exclusion demonstrating just how deep Ronald Koeman’s squad is.

Koeman’s side will have to get past a tough group featuring France, Austria and Poland as they aim to win the Euros for the first time since 1988 — the last time Germany hosted the tournament.
