With the arrival of San Antonio Spurs star forward Victor Wembanyama as a defensive savant and developing offensive threat, the Spurs’ front office has rightly surmised that it is time to start reshaping the roster in a hurry to match Wemby’s teammates to the level of basketball he is capable of playing.
But amid all of the speculation of which players from other teams can be both good enough to trade for and able to be pried loose from their current ball club, one key element of the team building picture has largely been missing in the San Antonio media.
