Mike Joy expects to return to FOX Sports booth for 2025 NASCAR season

Mike Joy expects to return for his 25th year in the FOX Sports booth for the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season.

FOX Sports has completed its portion of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season, and [autotag]Mike Joy[/autotag]’s future with the network has been a topic of conversation. Joy just finished his 24th year in the FOX Sports booth, but questions about a potential retirement and new TV deal have made his future uncertain. So, will the legendary NASCAR broadcaster return for another season?

According to Sports Business Journal’s Adam Stern, Joy said he intends to return to the FOX Sports booth for a 25th year with the network. Stern stated that Joy’s contract with FOX Sports is said to be up after this year, but it’s unclear if an extension has been reached. The play-by-play announcer was joined by Kevin Harvick and Clint Bowyer in 2024.

Harvick should return after signing a multi-year deal with FOX Sports, but Bowyer’s future is less certain, per Stern. Either way, Joy intends to return to the FOX Sports booth for another year and should be granted his wish. The network has a long and storied history with Joy, and it would be hard to say no until he decides to retire from broadcasting.
