After offensive line recruit Jayden Clark took his name out of the running for the 2025 Kentucky football recruiting class, there was a sense that the reason for that was a commitment or two coming. That proved to be true with the announcement that Darrin Strey had committed to the Wildcats.
Strey is a 6’6″ 300 lb tackle from Michigan. He is rated three stars by 247sports and is ranked as the 505th overall player in their composite rankings. He’s their 36th ranked offensive tackle.

Mark Stoops and his staff had multiple recruits in for a visit on June 7th and over the weekend, and Strey was among that group. He announced his commitment on the social platform X on Sunday.
Kentucky has shown it wants to build up the offensive line, and Strey should be a big part of that. He has tremendous size and the talent to develop into a quality starting tackle for the Wildcats.
