Round one of the NBA Finals went to [autotag]Jayson Tatum[/autotag] and the Boston Celtics on Thursday night.
The All-NBA First Teamer and former Duke basketball star finished with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists in Boston’s 107-89 victory. The Celtics jumped out to a 21-point lead at halftime, and despite Dallas closing within eight points late in the third quarter, Tatum buried a key 3-pointer to help his team pull away again.
The star wasn’t the only former Duke star on the court. [autotag]Kyrie Irving[/autotag] and rookie [autotag]Dereck Lively II[/autotag] both played key minutes for the Mavericks. Irving, who won a title with LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016, scored 12 points after a 6/19 performance from the field and added three rebounds and two assists.
Lively, who came off the bench for 18 minutes, pulled down five rebounds and made one basket for a two-point performance.
Here are the best photos of the three from Thursday night.
