Since Kenny Brooks became the head coach of Kentucky women’s basketball, he has completely remade the roster with loads of talented players. On Wednesday, he added another one, as guard Dominika Paurova announced her intention to transfer from Oregon State to the Wildcats.
As a Freshman last season, Paurova didn’t start in any games, but averaged about 16 minutes a game off the bench. She averaged 5.5 points per contest and shot 37% from three-point range.

In Oregon State’s NCAA Tournament run to the Elite Eight, she upped her game, averaging 7.3 points per game and making 50% of the threes. She scored 17 in the opening round, which was her highest total of the season.

Paurova will be a Sophomore next season, but has plenty of experience in big games. She played for the Czech Republic women’s national team’s U20 team and the U18 team as well, and played well for both.
Kentucky fans will wait and see how Brooks fits all the pieces together on the floor next season. There’s no doubting the talent, though. Paurova is another very good player on next year’s squad, and with three years of eligibility left, fans will get to see her continue to get better.
