The San Antonio Spurs have a huge opportunity to improve their team in the 2024 NBA Draft, as they have two top-10 selections. Though this year’s draft is supposedly weak, they can still snag some very talented prospects. In a recent NBA mock draft from Brian Lewis of the New York Post, the Spurs picked up Nikola Topic.
“Should Risacher fall to them, adding Wembanyama’s countryman could be intriguing. But the wing far more likely to be there is the 18-year-old Topic, a tall guard who has impressive passing ability and shot creation,” Lewis wrote. “His knee needs a clean bill of health and he must hone his jumper — hitting just 30 percent from 3-point range.
“But he’s a young upside pick for a young upside team. San Antonio desperately needs playmakers and could use shooting around Wembanyama. Topic could provide both … someday down the line.”
The Spurs need to add playmaking this summer, and Topic could be the perfect guy for them to target.
