First-year Duke head coach Manny Diaz is neck-deep in his remodeling of the Blue Devils football program, and after a Friday commitment from three-star defensive lineman Tommy Rupley, Duke is just outside the top 25 in the Class of 2025 rankings.
There are only 10 commitments for Diaz’s first full recruiting cycle in Durham thus far, but there’s plenty of time to add to that total. There’s also plenty of character to be found among those 10 names. Even this early in the process, the coach’s identity can be easily found in the fact that 80% of his commits play defense. As a former defensive coordinator who just left Penn State, it should come as little surprise that Diaz already has three commits from defenders in the Philadelphia area. However, he’s also got two teammates from a school in Massachusetts and a homegrown quarterback prospect from the state of North Carolina.
Here’s a brief introduction to every Duke commit in the class of 2025 so far (in order of their spot in the 247Sports Composite Ranking).
