Missouri lands transfer commitment over trio of SEC schools

Missouri beats out trio of SEC programs for a transfer linebacker.

According to reports, the Missouri Tigers landed a commitment Wednesday afternoon from Khalil Jacobs, who was among the top uncommitted players available in the transfer portal.

Jacobs, who is coming off a breakout season at South Alabama, announced his commitment to the Tigers over a trio of other SEC programs – Alabama, Auburn, and Ole Miss.

Across the last two seasons at South Alabama, Jacobs amassed a combined 60 tackles, 8.5 TFL, and three sacks, a majority of which came a year ago. Last season, Jacobs had 56 tackles, 8.5 TFL, three sacks, and one INT for the Jaguars, while also ranking No. 4 in the Sun Belt with three FF.

Jacobs is now transfer portal commitment No. 15 for Missouri this offseason, as well as the fourth at the linebacker position, and the fifth since the month of March. The South Alabama transfer joins Michigan’s Jeremiah Beasley, Miami’s Corey Flagg, and Wyoming’s Brady Hultman as the Tigers new linebacker additions.
